Adidas: Ugly Glory
The Challenge: Strip away the over-polished commercial hype typical of modern sports advertising to champion the raw, high-friction reality of the sport for Adidas.

The Insight: The highlight reel is easy; the sacrifice is where the work happens. True glory isn't found in a multi-million dollar contract or a shiny trophy room. It's earned in the unglamorous tax of being an athlete. Whether it's a world-class professional pushing through a grueling multi-year recovery or an amateur committing to a two-hour commute for an 11 PM kickoff, the devotion is exactly the same. The glory is in the grit.

The Solution: Ugly Glory. A campaign that cuts out the commercial hype to focus on the raw obsession of the game. Using heavy, blocky typography and gritty imagery, the project expands across three distinct phases: from messy outdoor posters and elite athlete social features to real-world communities, proving that the dedication to keep playing is identical at every level.
Phase 1 - OOH: Large street posters that build the mood before showing any faces. They focus entirely on messy details like mud, sweat, and worn-out gear to set a raw, unpolished tone in public spaces.
Phase 2 - Athlete Collaborations: A social media rollout that strips away the polished commercial image of elite players. Instead of highlight reels, these features expose the strain, endless reps, and heavy mental weight behind their biggest moments. The visuals utilize gritty photography and cinematic video content. These posts and reels focus entirely on the gruelling routine.
Phase 3 - Community: Real-world activations that directly support the grind of local sports. Instead of flashy corporate sponsorships, Adidas shows up to fix torn goal netting, install lights for late-night practices, and swap out worn-down gear.
